Do you know your “love language?” Of the five options, mine is Quality Time. We could be on a thrilling vacation or just enjoying a PB&J lunch in a park; it’s the act of spending time together, getting to have a good conversation, with the people I love that makes me happiest. Does it then make me selfish if I enjoy giving gifts of things we can experience together?
I just got home from my latest trip to Steamboat Springs, Colorado—a 12-day adventure—and have lots of photos and stories to share. Starting with Day 1, I checked two items off my want-to-do list: a yoga festival and an AcroYoga class.
While I continue working on turning my full experience in Nicaragua into written words to share with you, I still have to stick to my Intrepid Introvert mission: to get out of my routine in one new way each week. This past Saturday, I braved the traffic of thoroughfares for the benefit of some exercise and easy bike parking when I made it to Brownsburg’s annual Festival of the Arts.
Aside from voting and writing to my representatives, I’ve never taken part in any activity that had any modicum of political activism to it. That changed in an easy, friendly way when I marched with 350+ coworkers, friends, and family in the Cadillac Barbie IN Pride Parade.
